About Wendy
I’m a pediatric ophthalmologist who started intensively gardening in 2020 when my clinic, like many others in the country, shut down completely for several months when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. The first flower that I grew from seed was a pansy – it was the gateway flower that led me down the path of flower farming. I loved having flowers in the landscape, but I became completely enamored with flowers that you could cut and bring into the home to enjoy.
Seeing flowers on my desk while working long hours brought me so much joy. I started to bring the flowers to my neighbors, and the looks on their faces brought me even more happiness. I met a group of local flower farmers and realized, “these are my peeps!” It is an amazing community, and I cannot wait to share my flowers and spread the joy.
